Countdown to the Daytona 500: Joe Gibbs Racing” Premieres January 24, 2010
NEW YORK, January 20, 2010—Beginning January 24, 2010, NASCAR fans will be given unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to one of the sport’s most successful teams as it prepares for the season-opening Daytona 500. IMG Sports Media will produce for SPEED a series of four one-hour specials featuring Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and giving fans a unique perspective of what it takes to be ready to perform in the Great American Race.
Shot and produced by IMG Sports Media, “Countdown to the Daytona 500: Joe Gibbs Racing” will document every facet of the organization as the clock ticks down to the green flag at the Daytona 500 on February 14, 2010. At both JGR’s North Carolina headquarters and on the track at Daytona, viewers will be allowed in places they have never been before. The show will provide a behind the scenes look at the shop floor, team meetings and a glimpse into the inner workings of the team.
The show will include interviews with compelling personalities from drivers, team executives, crew chiefs and the unsung heroes behind the scenes as they prepare for the biggest race of the season
Led by NFL Hall of Fame coach, Joe Gibbs, JGR has become one of the most successful teams in the sport and features some of the most talented and exciting young drivers in NASCAR.

• Episode 2 — 9 p.m. ET on January 31, 2010
• Episode 3 — 4 p.m. ET on February 7, 2010
